Proof you have enough money for your stay and to leave Australia — for example itemised personal bank statements for a 3 month period, pay slips, audited accounts, tax records, term deposits, or credit card statements — a letter from a relative or friend in Australia, if one is inviting you — your plans while in Australia — and proof of reasons to return home, such as a letter from your employer, proof you study at a school, college, or university in your home country, proof of immediate family in your home country, proof that you can return home, or proof you own a house or other major assets there.

You need a valid passport or other travel document for this visa. If you plan to get a new passport, do this before you apply.
You can complete your health examinations before you apply or wait until Home Affairs tells you to have them.
If you appoint someone to give you immigration assistance, they must be a registered migration agent, a legal practitioner, or an exempt person.
Include as much information as possible to support your application. Have all non-English documents translated into English and submit both the original and translated documents — translators in Australia must be accredited by NAATI (the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters), while translators outside Australia don't need accreditation but must include their full name, address and telephone number, and translation qualifications and experience on each translation — these details must themselves be in English. Home Affairs may decide your application without requesting further information from you.
