Submit your documents in person at the Consular Section; no appointment is needed for either application or passport pickup. Office hours are 9:00am-2:00pm, Sunday through Thursday (During Ramadan: 9:00am-1:00pm), closed Fridays and Saturdays.

This assumes: an adult, ordinary Egyptian passport holder, resident in and applying from Egypt, self-funding their own trip, visiting Japan as a tourist.
