Schengen Visa (Short Stay)

Complete your own application form online — only then will you receive a form with a unique code. Forms without this code may cause issues while processing your application, so don't use someone else's form.

Must not be more than 10 years old, have at least 2 blank visa pages, be valid for at least 3 months after your departure from the Schengen area, and be signed.

For example: a passport or other travel document, a residence permit valid for at least 3 months after your departure from the Schengen area, a visa, or a work permit. If you're not a resident of the country where you're applying, you must show why you can't apply in your country of residence instead.

Employee: a certificate of employment (name, job title, salary, years of employment, employer's address and contact details, leave approval, and the name and job title of the person who signed it). Company owner: the trade licence issued by City Corporation and Incorporation Certificate issued by the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies (if you have one), your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and your company's bank statements from the last 6 months. Student: proof of enrolment in a study programme in Bangladesh, plus (if travelling during the school year) a certificate of leave of absence stating your full address, phone number, permission of absence, and the name and function of the person giving that permission — or, if it's a study trip, a letter from your educational institution stating the purpose, duration, and destination of your visit. If none of these apply: for example, proof you're a caregiver, own a home or other property, or have children attending school in your country of residence.

If married, or travelling with your child(ren): your marriage certificate. If divorced: a talak namah. If widowed: a death certificate.

For example, a hotel reservation for the whole trip, or another document proving accommodation.

Personal bank statements, credit card statements, or bank balance, from the last 6 months, or other documents showing you have enough money.

You don't need a paid travel ticket. If you're visiting more than one Schengen country, you must also bring the entry permits for the next destination(s) of your trip.

Must state that the insurance covers all Schengen area countries for your entire stay, and covers at least €30,000 in medical expenses (hospital stay/treatment, emergency care, prescription medication, and repatriation, including in the event of death).

A recent extract of the child's birth certificate; a consent form signed by the parent(s)/guardian(s) not travelling with the minor; their own signed valid travel document; proof of their income (personal bank statements, credit card statements, or bank balance from the last 6 months, or other proof); if one of them holds a valid Schengen visa, the biographical data page of their passport and of that visa; a death certificate if a parent/guardian has died; and official proof of guardianship if a guardian has been appointed, or permission from the court if there is a court order in place.
