Schengen Visa (Short Stay)

Complete your own application form online — only then will you receive a form with a unique code. Forms without this code may cause issues while processing your application, so don't use someone else's form.

Must not be more than 10 years old, have at least 2 blank visa pages, be valid for at least 3 months after your departure from the Schengen area, and be signed.

For example: a passport or other travel document, or proof of legal residence in Turkey (such as a residence permit) valid for at least 3 months after your departure from the Schengen area. If you're not a resident of the country where you're applying, you must show why you can't apply in your country of residence instead.

The document is named "Tam Tekmil Vukuatlı Nüfus Kayıt Örneği" on the checklist.

Employee: a letter from your employer or a leave approval (stating the consulate it's sent to, your personal and passport details, start date and job title, purpose and duration of your trip, whether your leave is paid or unpaid, your employer's contact details, and the signer's name and job title), plus your SGK work declaration ("Sigortalı İşe Giriş Bildirgesi") and SGK registration and service document ("SGK tescil ve hizmet dökümü") with a readable QR code. Company owner: an extract of your company from the Chamber of Commerce, a copy of the trade register record, a statement of taxes paid, and proof of business activity ("Faaliyet Belgesi"). Farmer: proof that you are a farmer, such as a certificate from the Chamber of Agriculture. Student: for higher education, a student certificate from the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) with a readable QR code; for other education, a student card. If none of these apply: for example, proof you're a caregiver, own a home or other property, or have children attending school in your country of residence.

For example, a hotel reservation.

Bank statements from the last 3 months; proof of income, such as 3 recent payslips if you are employed; or a pension booklet, if you have one.

You don't need a paid travel ticket. For example, a confirmation of a booked trip.

Must state that the insurance covers all Schengen area countries for your entire stay, and covers at least €30,000 in medical expenses (hospital stay/treatment, emergency care, prescription medication, and repatriation, including in the event of death).

A recent extract of the child's birth certificate; a consent form signed by the parent(s)/guardian(s) not travelling with the minor, approved by a local notary; if you're the child's only caregiver, proof of sole custody, also approved by a local notary; a colour photocopy of the non-travelling parent(s)/guardian(s)' own signed valid travel document; if one of them holds a valid Schengen visa, a colour photocopy of the biographical data page of their passport and of that visa; a photocopy of the death certificate if a parent/guardian has died; and a photocopy of official proof of guardianship if a guardian has been appointed, or permission from the court if there is a court order in place.
